Paul co-founded Ausbil in 1997 as an Australian equities house, building Ausbil into one of Australia’s leading investment managers offering Australian and global equity funds. Paul holds the position of Executive Chairman of Ausbil, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Equities. He is responsible for portfolio construction and strategy, and management of the Equities team. Paul has been instrumental in building Ausbil into a multi-billion dollar investment manager. Paul’s role includes investment strategy, portfolio construction and input into the investment management of Ausbil’s funds. Paul is a member and Chairman of Ausbil’s Portfolio Construction Committee. He has been in investments since 1979, gaining experience with companies such as Westpac Banking Corporation’s Investment Management Division, Mercantile & General and Legal & General Asset Management. Ross is responsible for Ausbil’s strategic positioning. Ross has over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry covering asset management, financial planning and stockbroking. Previously, Ross worked with Five Oceans Asset Management, an international funds management business he co-founded in 2005. Prior to this, Ross spent five years with Deutsche Bank in both Sydney and New York and held the positions of CEO of Deutsche Asset Management in Australia and Head of Deutsche Asset Management’s US Mutual Fund business. Ross also worked for Bankers Trust in both New York and Sydney across a variety of management roles.

John has been with Ausbil since 2001, and in the investment industry since 1985. At Ausbil, John holds the position of Co-Head of Equities. John’s role includes strategy and portfolio construction, as well as input into the investment management of the Fund. John is a member of Ausbil’s Portfolio Construction Committee. John has decades of financial services experience with companies such as McNall & Hordern (Sydney), Cazenove & Co (London), Royal Insurance Asset Management (London) and Legal & General Asset Management (Sydney). John’s career includes senior roles in management, stockbroking, investment management and portfolio management in the funds management industry. John’s initial grounding in equity analysis came through positions with stockbroking firms McNall & Hordern in Sydney and Cazenove & Co in London. Whilst in the United Kingdom, John became Portfolio Manager for Royal Insurance Asset Management with responsibility for Asia Pacific Funds. Before joining Ausbil, Gian was a Co-Head of the Australian Fundamental Equities team at AMP Capital. His primary roles were the management of a long/short equities portfolio, management of a concentrated equities portfolio and overall management of over $7 billion of funds under management. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Gian was Director of Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager at ING where he managed concentrated and long/short portfolios with funds under management exceeding $10 billion. Nicholas is Head of Equities Research, covering sector and stock analysis, and leads Ausbil’s team of equity analysts. Nicholas is the Senior Portfolio Manager of the Ausbil Active Sustainable Equity strategy and is a member of the Portfolio Construction Committee, having joined Ausbil in 2007. Nicholas has worked in financial markets since 1991, gaining experience working in Sydney, London and New York, including over 16 years in equity analysis. Prior to joining Ausbil, Nicholas worked with Citigroup in Australia and then New York specialising in healthcare and pharmaceuticals equity analysis. Nicholas held earlier positions in structured finance with Bankers Trust in Sydney and equity risk analysis with Commerzbank in London. In 2012, Nicholas was appointed Head of Equities Research at Ausbil. Andrew began his working career as a corporate accountant before transitioning into an insolvency accountant, working on formal and informal financial restructuring, strategic workouts and insolvencies. Prior to joining Ausbil, Andrew was a highly rated industrials analyst at Credit Suisse. Michael manages the Ausbil Active Dividend Income Fund. Michael has over 35 years of quantitative, actuarial and financial markets experience working in Sydney and Melbourne with companies such as AMP Capital, ING Investment Management, Mercantile Mutual and Colonial Mutual. Before joining Ausbil, Michael was Head of Australian Equities at AMP Capital. His primary roles at AMP Capital were the overall management of the $16b Australian equities team and the portfolio management of the sustainable equities and equity income strategies. As Ausbil’s Chief Economist, Jim is responsible for macroeconomic research and strategy. As Associate Director – Debt and Diversifieds, Jim manages the Ausbil Balanced Fund cash and fixed interest mandates. Jim has been with Ausbil since 2014, and has been involved in investment markets since 1986, with investment experience in managing multi-billion dollar active fixed interest portfolios for the likes of BT Investment Management, Rothschild Australia Asset Management and Commonwealth Bank Financial Services Asset Management. As a highly experienced equity and fixed interest macro strategist and economist, over his career he has demonstrated a consistent skill in adding value to portfolios and translating macroeconomic themes into actionable investment strategies and portfolios. Måns leads Ausbil’s ESG team who take an active approach to engaging Australia’s listed companies on environment, social and governance issues, and how they are reported and improved. As a trained equity analyst, Måns also leads Ausbil’s integration of proprietary ESG scoring, research and ratings within Ausbil’s top-down bottom-up valuation approach so that ESG is fundamental in all of Ausbil’s investment decisions. Måns has been with Ausbil since 2015. Prior to Ausbil, Måns was the Senior ESG Research Analyst at AMP Capital, following positions at Carnegie Investment Bank, Macquarie Bank and Accenture, having begun his career in 2004. Prior joining Ausbil, Tim was Head of Global Listed Infrastructure at AMP Capital. His primary role at AMP Capital was the management of global listed infrastructure funds which grew from $200m to $2bn during his tenure. Tim also sat on various Investment and Valuation committees for the AMP Capital Unlisted Infrastructure Funds. Before this, Tim was a senior analyst at boutiques AMP Capital Brookfield and RARE Infrastructure where he was responsible for a broad range of Infrastructure companies globally. Earlier in his career he worked for 10 years as an equity analyst with Insight Investment and Rothschild Asset Management. Tim is a founding member of Ausbil’s global infrastructure team and his roles at Ausbil include strategy, portfolio construction and stock analysis for the global listed infrastructure team.

Before joining Ausbil, Jonathan spent 10 years working alongside Tim Humphreys at RARE Infrastructure and AMP Capital as a Portfolio Manager/Analyst in the Global Listed Infrastructure team. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Jonathan was an analyst at AMP Capital Brookfield and RARE Infrastructure based in Sydney where he was responsible for analysing infrastructure companies in the Emerging Markets, Asia Pacific and North America regions. Jonathan started his career at Bear Stearns, where he worked as an investment analyst for the large-cap value team. Jonathan is a founding member of Ausbil’s global infrastructure team and his roles include strategy, portfolio construction and company analysis for global listed infrastructure securities in the transportation infrastructure sector.

Paul joined Ausbil’s Global Infrastructure Team in 2018 and has over 20 years of experience in the utilities and infrastructure sector including over a decade as a highly respected sell-side analyst in Australia and prior to that direct infrastructure industry experience.
Prior to joining Ausbil, Paul was a Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets, Head of Australian Equities Research, with overall responsibility for Australian equities research team. He also had responsibility for research coverage of the utility and infrastructures sectors in Australia which he covered for 11 years including the last 6 years at RBC. Prior to moving into equities research, Paul worked for companies such as Vodafone and Powercor and also the Victorian Government where he obtained around a decade of experience as an economist specialising in the areas of policy development, industry structure and regulation in the infrastructure sector.
Paul is a founding member of Ausbil’s global infrastructure team, and his role includes company analysis for global listed infrastructure securities in the utilities sector. Paul holds a Bachelor of Economics with first class Honours from La Trobe University in Melbourne.

Natasha joined Ausbil’s listed Infrastructure Team in 2018 and has over 16 years of financial experience working in Sydney and New York including over 10 years as a buy-side infrastructure equity analyst at a major Global Investment Management firm.
Prior to joining Ausbil, Natasha held the position of Associate Director – Senior Equities Analyst for the Macquarie Global Listed Infrastructure Fund where she was based in both Sydney and New York. Since 2007 Natasha had sole responsibility for analysing, building financial valuation models and making stock recommendations for the North American energy infrastructure and US telecommunication tower sectors. Natasha has also researched other infrastructure companies including utilities in the United States, airports in Mexico, toll roads in Brazil and communications infrastructure companies in Europe. Prior to joining Macquarie in 2004 she worked as a Tax Accountant at Foster Raffan in Sydney.
Natasha is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.

Christine is responsible for institutional account management, institutional business development, preparation for asset consultant reviews and researcher reviews.Christine holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Finance from Bentley University in Massachusetts. Christine has over 15 years of financial market experience in Australian equities. Prior to joining Ausbil, Christine was an Institutional Equity Sales Advisor at Commonwealth Bank, following positions at Deutsche Bank and Macquarie Bank.

In his role as National Manager, Wholesale Clients, Hik oversees the wholesale team which services the intermediated market across Australia. In addition he is responsible for servicing clients in his home state of Queensland. Hik has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Ausbil, Hik began his working life as an equities dealer / market maker in London at various institutional stockbrokers. Over the course of a decade he worked at Salomon Brothers, CA Investment Bank, Schroders Securities and Citigroup and specialised in European and African Emerging Markets. In between leaving London and joining Ausbil, Hik also spent several years teaching Economics and Mathematics at Brisbane Girls Grammar. The breadth of experience that Hik has gained over the course of his working life so far has led him to feel just as comfortable explaining financial concepts to mums and dads as to highly qualified financial professionals.

Jeremy Sherman joined Ausbil in 2017. Between 2005 and 2017 Jeremy performed the roles of Regional Sales Manager and National Key Account Manager with Nikko Asset Management/Tyndall Investments based in Melbourne. As well as his considerable experience in the Melbourne market, Jeremy is familiar with long only equity, concentrated equity, equity income and fixed income strategies.

Fawaz joined Ausbil in 2015 and brings a wealth of managed fund research experience to the team. Fawaz is responsible for serving the financial planning community in New South Wales and Western Australia and is based in Ausbil’s Sydney office. Prior to joining Ausbil, Fawaz held positions at Challenger/Fidante developing a strong background in managing research relationships. Fawaz brings to the team in-depth experience and technical capabilities delivering an alignment with both adviser and research communities. Fawaz holds a Bachelor of Commerce and CIMA.

Daniel brings to the team a depth of knowledge and experience in investment markets and stakeholder management. Rebecca joined Ausbil in January 2020 and is responsible for looking after the intermediated market in VIC and SA. Rebecca brings 15 years’ experience in funds management operations and sales roles from various boutique fund managers such as Perennial and Pengana. Rebecca has knowledge across Australian and Global equities as well as fixed interest markets and holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance and Banking) as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Markets and Investment from FINSIA. Rebecca is interested in behavioural finance and what drives investor’s decision making and actions and helping people achieve their goals.

Demetri joined Ausbil in 2020. As a Business Development Manager he is responsible for serving the financial planning community and building Ausbil’s wholesale relationships in New South Wales. Prior to joining Ausbil, Demetri held a number of client facing positions at Commsec, Macquarie Group, JP Morgan and more recently at BCA Research, where he developed a strong background in managing investment research relationships across the Nordics. Demetri’s academic qualifications include a Masters of Science in Banking and Finance from King’s College London, and a Bachelor of Business degree with Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney.
