Ausbil are pleased to announce that BT Panorama and Netwealth have both approved the Ausbil Australian SmallCap Fund (Fund) for their respective platforms. This further expands the Fund’s availability, which already includes Hub24, Mason Stevens, mFunds, and as a direct wholesale investment.

“We are grateful for the support shown by BT and Netwealth in including our Australian SmallCap strategy on their platforms,” said Hik Chadirchi, National Manager, Wholesale Clients. “Over the course of 2020 and 2021, Australian small caps have shown their potential to outperform their larger cap peers,” said Chadirchi. “Ausbil’s Australian SmallCap Fund offers investors with a long term investment horizon the ability to benefit from an exposure to a risk adjusted portfolio of Australian smaller companies as part of a larger equities allocation.”

The Fund is run by Arden Jennings and Andrew Peros, the same team behind the highly successful Ausbil MicroCap Fund.

Since inception, the Fund has delivered a return of +61.0% pa (net of fees) to end November 2021, outperforming the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index by +31.7% pa.

“Small company investing in Australia, especially across the last two years of the pandemic, has seen a proliferation of rapidly growing technology companies, dynamic trading conditions for retailers and a surge in demand for metals enabling the global decarbonisation effort amongst others,” said Arden Jennings, Portfolio Manager, Small & MicroCap.

“We are seeing some very exciting opportunities across the Australian market in the wake of a compelling series of IPOs and secondary market raisings. Australian Small Caps have long been a fertile hunting ground for world-leading and great companies,” said Andrew Peros, Portfolio Manager, Small & MicroCap.

Small-cap stocks represent ‘dynamic’ investment opportunities outside of the S&P/ASX 100. These businesses have moved beyond being micro caps, having grown in size and ambition, but still offer the potential for higher long-term growth than their large-cap counterparts.

The Ausbil Australian SmallCap Fund is now available through Asgard, BT Panorama, Hub24, Mason Stevens, mFunds, Netwealth, Powerwrap, Praemium and as a direct wholesale investment.
