Paul Xiradis Chief Executive Officer / Head of Equities AAIBF Fellow, ASIA, FAICD, MNIA, Grad Dip (Applied Finance and Investment)

Paul Xiradis has over 30 years experience in investment management covering experience in all investment disciplines. His formative investment years were spent in Westpac’s Investment Management Division where his responsibilities included the management of both superannuation and non-superannuation retail investment trusts. Paul progressed to become Senior Portfolio Manager for Delfin and Investment Manager for the Mercantile & General Reinsurance Group in Australia in 1989. Paul joined Legal and General Asset Management in 1994 as Director of Australian Equities where he continued his sound track record in equity management. In late 1995 BZW Investment Management approached Paul to accept an equity management position as Associate Director-Equities, a position he held until his departure in 1997.

Responsibilities: Portfolio Manager.
John's initial grounding in equity analysis came through positions with stockbroking firms McNall & Hordern in Sydney and Cazenove & Co in London. Whilst in the United Kingdom, John became Portfolio Manager for Royal Insurance Asset Management with responsibility for Asia Pacific Funds. Back in Australia after five years in London, John joined Legal & General Asset Management as Senior Portfolio Manager prior to joining Ausbil in 2001.

Responsibilities: Sector and stock analysis. Portfolio construction.
Prior to joining Ausbil Adam gained significant exposure to commodity and currency markets with roles at MKS (Sydney) and BZW (London). His experience at these 2 organisations included market-making, order working, position-keeping and active marketing to clients in the Middle East, USA, Japan and Europe. Adam joined Ausbil in 1999 as an Investment Associate and was promoted to Portfolio Manager – Equities in early 2001 and then Associate Director in 2003.

Responsibilities: Macro analysis and Head of Research Function
John holds a Masters Degree in Economics and has extensive economic analysis experience. His early career was as an Economist in Canberra with the Industry Commission, the Federal Treasury and the Department of Industry and Commerce. John has also held the position of Chief Economist for the NSW Treasury Corp. In 1989 John joined the NRMA as Senior Manager Fixed Interest where for seven years he developed a strong track record managing fixed interest portfolios. John is actively involved as a lecturer and examiner in economics, fixed interest and asset management for Finsia. His experience, economic and fixed interest skills have provided sound input to the sector and asset allocation process and significantly assisted Ausbil’s successful equity and bond management process.
Nicholas Condoleon Equities Analyst BBus (Accounting), GDipAppFin (Finsia)

Nicholas has considerable experience in financial markets working in Sydney, London and New York including over 8 years in equity analysis. Prior to joining Ausbil he was a Vice President at Citigroup in New York specialising in healthcare and pharmaceuticals equity analysis. Nicholas held earlier positions in derivatives, structured finance and equity risk analysis with Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank.

Brendan Wong Equities Analyst CFA, F.Fin, B.Bus (Accounting)

Responsibilities: Sector and stock analysis
Prior to joining Ausbil, Brendan was an equities analyst at Citigroup, specialising in Transportation, Infrastructure and Utilities Research, as well as macro Quantitative Analysis. He has also worked internationally, covering high-yield debt/equity markets in Japan and across Asia. Brendan's initial grounding in financial analysis was formed at UBS, where he was responsible for corporate accounting and valuation. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Shanelle Hoong Equities Analyst B.Eng. (Hons), M. Com Extension (Finance)

Responsibilities: Sector and stock analysis, Quantitative systems development
Shanelle joined Ausbil with a Master of Commerce Extension Degree in Finance. Prior to that Shanelle has over 2 years of working experience in consulting from Accenture and has graduate training experience with Ernst & Young. Aside from equities research, Shanelle is also responsible for managing, developing and implementing new quantitative systems. Shanelle has passed Level II of the CFA examination in 2009.
Sarah Lau Equities Analyst B.Comm (Hons)

Sarah joined Ausbil in 2007 as a recent Finance and Actuarial Studies graduate from UNSW with part time experience across various facets of the finance industry. At Ausbil, she is responsible for research within specific industry sectors. Sarah has passed all three levels of the CFA Program.
Zeljka Damjanovic

Zeljka was formerly an analyst at 452 Capital, where she was responsible or Banking, Telecommunications, Retail and Paper & Packaging sector research. Prior to 452, she worked for Allianz Dresdner Asset Management and Audant Investments, both as a Research Analyst. At Ausbil, Zeljka is responsible for research within the Financials sector and is also a CFA Charterholder. |
Tony Waters Portfolio Manager, Micro Caps CPA, B.Bus (Accounting), GDip AppFin (Finsia)

Tony was most recently at Investors Mutual, where he held the position of Equity Analyst. Prior to IML, Tony spent 7 years at boutique stock broking firm CCZ Equities as their Senior Industrial Equity Analyst, specialising in mid to smaller cap companies. He was also the portfolio manager of their in-house equity fund.Tony holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Avondale College and has completed the CPA Program from the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
Chris Prunty Equities Analyst CFA

Prior to joining Ausbil, Chris was most recently at IML, where he was responsible for small cap industrials and large cap specialty retail. His previous experience includes stints at Ivany Investment Group, Confluence Asset Management, CCZ Equities and AMP Capital Investors. Chris is CFA qualified and has a Bachelor of Commerce/Arts (Distinction) from ANU.

Khay-Tuck Chow has a strong background in quantitative analysis. Prior to joining Ausbil, Khay-Tuck was the quantitative analyst at van Eyk Research where he was responsible for all investment manager quantitative research and asset allocation research for master trust and corporate clients. Previous experience also encompassed development of performance and quantitative software systems, marketing and client servicing. | |

Responsibilities: Equities Dealing
Prior to joining Ausbil, Matthew had a 7 year career in Stockbroking as an Equities and Options dealer. Matthew began his career in finance in 1999 with Shaw Stockbroking where his responsibilities included Institutional and Retail sector dealing as well as providing help desk and equities trading service to Retireinvest Financial Planners. In 2003 Matthew was employed by Hudson Securities as Head Equities Operator and Bookings Manager. Whilst in this role, he was also given supervisory responsibilities over all Options trading and assignments, having obtained his CLICK License. In February 2005, Tolhurst Noall approached Matthew with a specifically institutional trading position which he subsequently accepted until his departure in December 2005.

Andrew is responsible for the sales, marketing and product development of Dexia Asset Management’s products in Australia. With a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, Andrew joins Ausbil with over eight years relevant experience having previously worked for Bank of Ireland Asset Management, Dublin and Dicksons Ltd.

Jordan is responsible for servicing the financial planning market in NSW/ACT in addition to driving a number of key dealer group relationships. Jordan has over 10 years of Funds Management experience having previously held various roles at Rothschild Asset Management.

Hik is responsible for servicing the financial planning community in Queensland. Hik’s background in financial markets comes from working as an equities dealer / market maker for various institutional stockbrokers in London. Over a decade long career Hik worked for Salomon Brothers, Creditanstalt, Schroders Securities and Citigroup and specialised in European and African Emerging Markets.

Julia is responsible for servicing the financial planning market in Victoria/South Australia and Tasmania. Julia joins Ausbil Dexia with a wealth of education, supported by 8 years of experience within the financial services industry. In her previous role Julia was part of the Westpac Bank Home Loan partnership management team. Prior to that Julia held the position of National Business Development Manager at Suburban Management, a Melbourne based boutique mortgage management firm.

Having joined as Chief Financial Officer, Mark was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2005 and is a key member of the Ausbil succession team. A qualified chartered accountant , Mark has worked in a variety of roles within the finance industry over the past 24 years, both locally and abroad. Previous positions were held at JP Morgan, Unibank Plc , State Street Bank & Trust , Macquarie Bank and with his last role with Deutsche Bank being Equities Group AsiaPac cost controller.
